Gavin is a British Artist from Essex.

He is largely self-taught and discovered his ability to paint at the age of 8, drawing and painting wildlife mostly birds, having a strong interest in the natural world.

By the age of 15 he had acquired his first big commission from Sir Peter Scott of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, based in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire.

Gavin worked as a Graphic Artist in the print industry for many years, working on many well known High Street brands.

Gavin's favoured medium is oil on canvas, his interests for the marine world are often reflected in his artwork.

From time to time Gavin exhibits and sells his work in UK galleries including London.

His ability to produce a high detail photo realism technique is prevalent in much of his work.
